Job Opportunity

This position involves working 12-hour night shifts, specifically from 1845 to 0715, with a scheduled commitment of 36 hours per week following an initial week of orientation. The role requires the candidate to possess a valid Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment. Please note that medical and religious exemption requests for immunity documentation will not be accepted.

General Responsibilities

The traveling nurse will be responsible for providing care across various medical and surgical units. The job requires flexibility to float between different departments as needed.

Unit Specific Information

Equipment Utilized: Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes

Patient Ratios:

• Medical Unit: 1:6 during days/evenings, 1:8 for nights
• Laulima Unit: 1:6
• Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4 (on rare occasions)

Bed Sizes:

• Medical Unit: 77 beds
• Laulima (Surgical Acute): 18 beds
• Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds

Training and Orientation Program: Orientation time will be provided for each unit to ensure smooth integration into the team.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2 to 10 years of nursing experience
• Licenses and Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC

Dress Code

Professional nursing attire is required, including clean scrubs.

Candidates must arrive the Thursday prior to their scheduled start date for an employee health appointment on Friday. Please ensure availability to meet this requirement before accepting the position.
