Staff Accountant

We have an excellent Staff Accountant opportunity with a dynamic and growing company in Raleigh. In this role, you will assist with the month end close, general ledger activities, monthly reconciliations, and variance analysis. Key Responsibilities: General Ledger Management: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording and reconciling transactions. Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closing processes. Assist with variance analysis to explain differences between actual results and budgeted/forecasted amounts. Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and various other accounting reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist in resolving discrepancies and provide documentation for audit purposes. Accounts Payable & Receivable Support: Review and process invoices, ensuring timely payments and accurate records. Assist with collections and monitor outstanding accounts receivable. Audit Preparation: Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and schedules. Assist in the preparation of audit workpapers. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to continuous improvement in the accounting functions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in accounting.
