Job Title: Senior Wealth AdvisorJob Description
The Senior Wealth Advisor role is a direct-hire opportunity with a fast-growing, Bellevue-based registered investment advisory firm. This position is 100% onsite, Monday through Friday, and focuses on serving as a primary relationship manager and trusted advisor to an established group of high-net-worth clients. The Senior Wealth Advisor deeply understands each client’s financial life, leads key planning conversations, coordinates recommendations with internal specialists and external professionals, and ensures clients receive proactive, highly personalized advice throughout the year. This is a relationship-driven advisory role, not a sales-first position, and centers on providing exceptional, comprehensive wealth management and building enduring relationships with the families served.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary relationship manager and trusted advisor for an assigned group of wealth management clients.
Develop a deep understanding of each client’s financial circumstances, family dynamics, goals, concerns, and long-term priorities.
Lead client review meetings and other important financial conversations, ensuring each interaction is well-prepared and thoughtfully structured.
Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout the year, rather than relying solely on scheduled review meetings.
Build relationships that extend beyond investment performance and position the firm as a trusted resource for all significant financial decisions.
Deliver comprehensive wealth management advice across a broad range of planning areas, including investment strategy, retirement planning, estate planning, cash-flow and liquidity planning, concentrated stock positions, charitable planning, business and executive compensation, and wealth transfer and legacy planning.
Identify key planning issues, ask thoughtful questions, and recognize opportunities to enhance each client’s financial plan.
Coordinate with internal specialists in investment management, tax, estate planning, compliance, and operations to provide an integrated wealth management experience.
Prepare thoroughly for client meetings and ensure recommendations are clear, thoughtful, and actionable.
Follow through on recommendations and drive important planning items from discussion to implementation.
Communicate sophisticated financial concepts in a way that is understandable, practical, and relevant to each client’s situation.
Develop strong working relationships with clients’ attorneys, CPAs, and other external professionals when appropriate to support coordinated planning.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the firm to deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience.
Support a book of approximately 200–300 clients within the $500,000 to $1.5 million asset range, ensuring high-touch, personalized service.
Demonstrate a genuine commitment to putting clients’ interests first in all advisory activities.
Essential Skills
5–10+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, or a related advisory role, including meaningful experience meeting directly with clients.
Active Series 65 license.
Strong financial planning knowledge and an understanding of how investments, taxes, estate planning, retirement planning, and cash-flow decisions interact.
Proficiency in investment strategy and portfolio discussions with clients.
Experience with estate planning concepts and coordination with estate planning professionals.
Knowledge of tax planning considerations as they relate to investments and overall financial plans.
Ability to advise on retirement planning, including accumulation and distribution strategies.
Experience addressing cash-flow and liquidity planning needs for clients.
Familiarity with managing and advising on concentrated stock positions.
Experience with charitable planning strategies and philanthropic giving.
Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to simplify complex financial concepts and communicate them clearly and confidently.
Sound judgment and strong attention to detail in advisory work and documentation.
Strong preparation, organization, and follow-through skills for client meetings and ongoing service.
Emotional intelligence and the ability to develop trusted, long-term relationships with clients.
Collaborative approach to working with colleagues and outside professionals such as CPAs and attorneys.
Demonstrated commitment to putting clients’ interests first and acting as a fiduciary advisor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
CFP® certification preferred.
Experience working within a registered investment advisory (RIA) environment.
Background in financial services as an investment advisor or planner.
Experience coordinating with CPAs and other stakeholders on comprehensive financial plans.
Familiarity with business and executive compensation planning considerations.
Experience with wealth transfer and legacy planning for families.
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to act as a trusted resource for clients.
Effective calendar management and organizational skills to handle a large client base.
Intellectual curiosity and a desire to continually improve as an advisor and stay current on industry developments.
Comfort working in a fun, outgoing, and growth-oriented team culture with colleagues who have strong sales and relationship backgrounds.
