Software Engineer - Cloud Ops/Gov Cloud

Salary: $100,000 - 170,000 per year Requirements:

• We need strong experience building secure, maintainable, and scalable software.
• We require proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, Java, JavaScript, Python, Web APIs, and Microsoft SQL.
• We need hands-on automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, and JSON/YAML.
• We require experience operating cloud-first, mission-critical systems, with Azure strongly preferred.
• We need working knowledge of Azure Functions, AKS, Docker, and PaaS services.
• We require solid Windows and Linux systems administration skills.
• We need the ability to work independently in fast-moving environments and drive issues through to closure.
• We require excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical topics for non-technical audiences.
• For this role, we need U.S. Citizens or U.S. Persons depending on the project, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance may be required.
• Preferred experience includes familiarity with federal compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST, CMMC, IL3-IL5, HIPAA, PCI, and ISO 27001.
• Preferred experience includes Azure security tools such as WAF, Microsoft Sentinel, and threat protection.
• Preferred knowledge of ITSM/ITIL practices and operational standards.
• Preferred experience with Azure DevOps and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
• Preferred familiarity with Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Azure Redis Cache.
• Preferred interest in AI/ML or GenAI solutions in regulated cloud environments.

• We design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud automation and internal tooling.
• We support mission-critical production environments, including participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
• We develop and manage DevOps pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, ARM, and Azure DevOps.
• We troubleshoot and resolve complex application and Azure PaaS issues, including C#/ASP.NET systems.
• We implement and continuously strengthen cloud security controls aligned with federal compliance requirements.
• We carry out Identity and Access Management, deployments, upgrades, and change management tasks.
• We collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver urgent public-sector outcomes.
• We support audits and compliance work, including evidence gathering and documentation.
• We maintain clear and accurate technical documentation for systems and operational processes.
