Shifts Available:
• Saturday-Sunday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
• Saturday-Sunday, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM
Pay: $20.00/hr

Two positions open - a dedicated 1:1 approach means you're not stretched across a floor or a caseload. Focused, relationship-based work with the individuals you support.
Medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD/AD&D, and sick time available for qualifying employees.
W-2 employment with Arbor from day one - real employer, stable paycheck, no 1099 paperwork on top of what you're already managing.
DSP | HHA | CNA | Caregiver | PCA - weekend availability and direct care experience? You're already the right fit. Two positions are open and ready to fill.

Responsibilities
Provide direct support for adults with behavioral needs - personal hygiene care, ADL assistance, meal prep, mobility, and daily living skills.
Maintain a calm, steady demeanor throughout every interaction, including during challenging moments.
Engage actively and meaningfully with the individuals you support - connection is a core part of this role, not an afterthought.
Monitor health and behavior, document observations accurately, and communicate updates to program staff at shift end.
Foster a respectful, inclusive, person-centered environment that upholds dignity and individual preferences at all times.
Attend 3 days of required training in North Haven, CT prior to beginning work.
Follow program safety protocols, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to all Arbor and program-specific standards throughout every shift.

Job Requirements

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Personal or professional caregiving experience preferred; 6+ months in human services a plus
Comfortable supporting adults with behavioral needs and providing hands-on personal hygiene and ADL care
Able to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in all client interactions
Must be available to attend 3 days of required training in North Haven, CT
Valid driver's license required

Certifications
CPR/FA certification (required)
PMT and other restraint training as required by assignment
CT Medication Administration certification as required by assignment

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
Prolonged standing; bending, kneeling, crouching as needed
Indoor and community-based activity involvement
Psychological Requirements
Emotional stability and resilience when supporting individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviors
Capacity to remain calm, patient, and professional in high-stress situations
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow program protocols precisely

Judith Saraf joined Arbor in 2023 as the Human Resources Manager, responsible for overseeing HR functions and teams. She holds a bachelor's degree in social work from Plymouth State University and brings with her over 27 years of Human Resources related experience and knowledge working in the healthcare and hospitality fields. Judith has assisted companies streamline and implement HRIS systems, lead organizations through the shift to consumer driven health plans, executed talent management strategies including recruitment and retention initiatives and has many years of experience with internal employee and labor relations. She has a passion for employee engagement with creative programs and is one of many things she looks forward to bringing to the Arbor team. When not at work, she enjoys painting, and spending time with her husband and 3 sons. Judith also enjoys volunteering with "A Wish Come True" - a nonprofit that delivers wishes to critically ill children in Southeastern MA and Rhode Island.
