Job Summary

The Record Center Specialist is responsible for processing orders and handling physical records, including files, books, binders, backup tapes, and storage boxes. This is a physically demanding role requiring frequent lifting, carrying, moving, and organizing of materials while maintaining accuracy using handheld scanners and a proprietary inventory system.

Work Schedule

• 5 days per week
• 9-hour shifts (includes a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks)

Key Responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing orders accurately.
• Move, arrange, lift, and load storage boxes, bins, and totes.
• Read labels and track inventory using a proprietary computer system.
• Operate handheld scanners for inventory management.
• Load and unload pallets manually and with material handling equipment.
• Shrink-wrap pallets for shipment.
• Safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Climb ladders to retrieve and store materials as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently kneel, squat, stoop, bend, crawl, twist, and reach.
• Walk and stand for extended periods.
• Lift and carry boxes weighing 10–100 lbs. without assistance.
• Push, pull, and transport materials across concrete and uneven surfaces.
• Move boxes up and down stairs and inclines.
• Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 100 lbs. without assistance.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work for the entire shift.
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and basic computer systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Safety Requirements

• Protective footwear is mandatory.
• Safety shoes must meet  ASTM F2413-11standards for protective toe footwear.
• Footwear must have a "Better" or "Best"slip-resistant rating.

Work Environment

• Warehouse/record storage facility.
• Continuous material handling in a fast-paced environment.
• Concrete floors with frequent walking, lifting, and moving of inventory.
