Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Floor Nurse position is located in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role involves providing patient care in a MedSurg setting with a focus on post-surgical patients such as those recovering from orthopedics and general surgery, as well as neuro populations. The position requires the ability to work independently, manage complex care plans, and develop long-term nursing strategies to meet patient needs.

Job Details:

• Location: Alexandria, LA 71301
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred; BLS certification from AHA required; RN License in state of employment or compact; must have travel experience
• Preferred Qualifications: EPIC experience is a bonus
• Schedule: 7AM - 7PM
• Additional Information:
  • Weekend requirement based on staffing needs, with weekends possibly required
  • No on-call requirement
  • Floating is a potential across various locations
  • Nurse to patient ratio is approximately 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing levels
