Territory Manager - Specialty Products

Position Purpose The Territory Manager – Specialty Products at SRS Building Products is responsible for driving strategic sales growth and building strong stakeholder relationships across a designated territory. The role involves conducting market research, developing actionable sales strategies, and maintaining deep product knowledge to deliver superior service and foster customer loyalty. Key Responsibilities Formulate and execute detailed sales strategies to meet or surpass corporate objectives, identifying emerging markets and new product opportunities. Develop and maintain professional relationships with architects, builders, contractors, distributors and other key industry stakeholders. Conduct in‑depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities and threats and translate insights into proactive sales plans. Monitor territory performance against sales targets and KPIs, making adjustments to ensure goal attainment. Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company’s specialty products and provide expert advice to clients. Generate and present thorough sales reports and strategic insights to senior management. Travel & Physical Requirements Frequent travel within the territory is required to meet clients and conduct market research. Ability to operate a computer, perform extensive telephone communication, and sit or stand for extended periods. Capability to lift and carry materials up to 20 pounds during travel or trade events. A self‑motivated, adaptable approach is necessary in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven setting. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum five years of sales management experience in the building materials industry, specifically specialty products. Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitor activities, and building supply sector trends. Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency with CRM software and sales analytics tools. Willingness and ability to travel as necessary. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline. Experience leading high‑performance sales teams and executing innovative sales strategies. Advanced data analytics skills and familiarity with sustainability trends in building materials. Certifications such as CSP, LEED Accredited Professional, or Certified Construction Manager (preferred). Compensation may include performance‑based bonuses, commissions, profit‑sharing, car allowance, and travel reimbursement.
