Remote Scribe - Ava Echo (Real-time Text Corrector)

Scribes work remotely, alongside AI-generated text, to correct captions for Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) users in real-time.

Echo is a pilot project focusing on correcting text for DHH users with Deaf Accents.

• Work 1–2 hour sessions, 5–15 hrs/week.
• Maintain accurate, timely caption corrections.

• Work from home 5–15 hrs/week, 1–2 hr sessions at a time, primarily 6 AM–6 PM PST.
• Always on‑time, communicative and reactive.
• Flexible and excited to contribute to a better world.

1. Strong capacity to comprehend various spoken accents in English.
2. Experience with spoken deaf accents (strongly preferred).
3. Experience with ASL or various deaf dialects (preferably).
4. Experience in helping professions with proximity to the DHH community (preferably).
5. Ability to type quickly and accurately.
6. Tech‑savvy, familiar with computers.
7. Worked remotely for 6+ months, good WiFi and quiet workspace.
8. Proactive and clear communication skills.
9. Reliable and keeps commitments.

• Experience in transcription, translation, subtitling, proofreading, captioning.
• Willing to train ~4 hours to become a Scribe and start training now.
