Established (100+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Matrimonial Attorney for Family Law in Albany, New York

 

An established firm based in Albany, New York with over 100 years in practice is seeking a Matrimonial Attorney with 4+ years of experience to join their team. This Matrimonial Attorney will have experience with divorce, child custody, support, and high-net-worth matrimonial matters , ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations while representing clients in litigation and advisory matters.

Qualifications : 

Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing
4+ years of experience handling matrimonial and family law matters
Strong litigation experience including court appearances and motion practice
Ability to manage a caseload independently while maintaining attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach
Experience with high-net-worth divorce matters and complex asset division preferred

 

Responsibilities :

Manage a full caseload of matrimonial and family law matters from inception through resolution
Handle court appearances including conferences, hearings, and trials
Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, and discovery documents
Advise clients on divorce, custody, support, and related issues with a strategic approach
Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation when appropriate
Collaborate with partners and support staff to ensure efficient case management
