Manufacturing Engineer -- Industrial Manufacturer (36291)

An international industrial manufacturer in the Carpentersville, IL area is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for maintaining and enhancing output of production equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. They also prefer candidates with Japanese company experience.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair automated production machinery
• Assist with installation of new line equipment
• Collaborate with production technicians and electricians to resolve equipment issues
• Engage with external vendor services for machine repairs when necessary
• Assist in the creation of equipment maintenance schedules
• Modify detailed layouts of equipment when necessary

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing facilities
• Experience reading and creating mechanical drawings
• Experience with GD&T
• Experience with power/hand tools and measuring equipment like micrometers
• Prefer familiarity with CAD and programming languages like C++
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office
