Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Des Moines, IA 50314 (Iowa nursing jobs)
  
• Healthcare Setting: Resource Pool – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit
  
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/7/2025 – End: 3/7/2026)
  
• Shift: 10 Hour Days (06:45 AM – 05:15 PM)
  
• Hours per Week: 40
  
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1810 - $1950 per week

RN Qualifications and Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state (Iowa RN jobs)
  
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing
  
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)
  
• Ability to float within the Resource Pool as needed
  
• Meet all onboarding requirements: background check, health screenings, competency testing, etc.
  

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
  
• Monitor, assess, and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs
  
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed
  
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
  
• Accurately document all patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  
• Participate in unit meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
