Senior Staff Accountant

We represent a builder that specializes in high rise development and custom home building, and is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to add to their team located near the Bonita Springs area. This organization specializes in homebuilding and real estate development. The role involves supporting daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvements within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to contribute to a collaborative team. Responsibilities Assist with monthly financial reporting and close processes Perform account reconciliations (balance sheet, intercompany, job cost) Support tax preparation by coordinating with external accounting firms Manage financials and bank draw processes for development entities Oversee credit card approvals and payments Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses Assist with annual budget preparation Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve accounting processes Maintain documentation of accounting policies and procedures Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field 3+ years of accounting experience CPA preferred Experience in construction or real estate development is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Sage 300 (or similar ERP) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Alignment with company values: Quality, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Commitment Medical, dental and vision 401k with employer match Life insurance, short term disability insurance, long term disability insurance Employee Assistance Program Certified wellness program with health club membership PTO and paid holidays Compensation $70,000 to $90,000, depending on experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr The Axel Group, LLC
