Registered Nurse Medical-Surgical / Oncology
Shift: Nights
Contract length: 1326 weeks accepted
Minimum 2 years inpatient RN experience (Med/Surg experience required)
Required: BLS
Preferred: Oncology certification preferred; traveler must be able to administer chemotherapy if needed (facility/manager may train/certify)
NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal
Provide medical-surgical care to adult and geriatric patients, including those with oncology histories.
Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy along with blood products as needed.
Perform general inpatient nursing duties, including but not limited to, managing colostomy care, central and peripheral line care, and wound VAC management.
Ensure effective communication utilizing SBAR format; document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care, including pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and social work.
Orientation: 24 hours (2 shifts)
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend required
Attendance at monthly staff meetings is expected
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Pre-start modules: Required (approx. 810 hours for acute care); must be completed pre-start
