Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/20/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 20, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a high-acuity respiratory care stepdown unit requiring FL/compact license and 3+ years of critical care experience with ventilator, trauma, and neuro patients.Details\n \n High acuity Respiratory Care ICU stepdown unit\n Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)\n Every other weekend (EOW) required\n Float as needed and holiday coverage as needed\n 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, up to 4:1 depending on staffing\n Epic EMR experience required\n Travel pairs will not be considered\n Requirements\n \n Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand\n BLS and ACLS certifications via AHA required\n NIHSS certification required in hand at time of consideration\n Minimum 3 years of recent critical care experience with acute/chronically ill patients requiring ventilator support\n Trauma and Neuro experience required\n Degree from an accredited school required, or FBON-approved institution with 2 years of recent consecutive acute care experience in a US hospital within the past 24 months\n Charge RN, SICU, MICU, Trauma, and Stroke experience preferred\n Must pass a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review\n Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia/EKG assessment\n Additional Information\n \n Provide critical care nursing to high-acuity respiratory patients requiring ventilator support\n Smoke-free facility\n Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius at a reduced rate\n Former Broward Health employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler\n Candidates from Operation Nightingale Schools will not be accepted\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-727691.
