Chief Financial & Operations Officer

Position Overview. Thetford Academy seeks a strategic, mission-driven CFOO who will serve as the school’s chief financial leader and a key partner to the Head of School and Board of Trustees. This highly visible role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on operational oversight. The CFOO will lead all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, audit, and compliance, while contributing to long‑term financial sustainability and institutional planning. Key Responsibilities Lead all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and audit Manage cash flow, investments, and internal controls Serve as liaison to the Board Finance Committee and present financial reports Support payroll, benefits, and workforce planning with HR Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision making Strengthen financial systems, policies, and procedures Lead and support a small, collaborative finance team Ensure compliance with regulations and best practices Ideal Candidate Profile.
