About the Role Provide first-line desktop and end-user support in a secure federal IT environment. You will resolve issues across user workstations — desktops, laptops, 10Zig zero clients, and mobile thin clients — and handle requests received through the ServiceNow ticketing system, by phone, and via walk-in. Key Responsibilities Perform account management and troubleshoot user workstations Install hardware and software, configure workstation operating systems, and keep systems current with approved configurations and security requirements Configure and troubleshoot workstation peripherals Assess user issues through conversation or remote access, assign appropriate priorities, and dispatch or escalation to Level II technicians when needed Track ticket status and resolution and communicate updates to users and the Service Desk Supervisor Required Qualifications 2 years of IT help desk experience , including help desk administration and user support Hands‑on experience with Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Outlook/Exchange, Active Directory, and ServiceNow Excellent communication and customer‑service skills, including the ability to support non-technical users in a fast-paced, regulated environment Certifications CompTIA A+ (preferred; may sub for 1 yr exp) Technical Environment Schedule & Location Hybrid — approximately 50% remote / 50% on-site. Primary site: Central Office, Washington, DC. Possible travel to FCC Butner (NC), FCC Allenwood (PA), or FCC Victorville (CA). Government‑furnished equipment (laptop, PIV card) provided. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM ET, ~1,992 hours/year. Full‑time, W‑2.
