Maintenance Manager

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all maintenance and reliability activities for the facility. This role provides leadership to a team of three maintenance technicians and plays a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations that consistently meet production requirements and customer expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance leader who enjoys solving technical challenges, improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Supervise, coach, and support a team of maintenance technicians and outside contractors. Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and work order execution. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and HVAC issues. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance and plant efficiency. Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety, environmental, and company safety standards. Manage maintenance budgets, expenditures, and capital improvement projects. Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and performance metrics. Manage spare parts inventory to support reliable operations and minimize downtime. Evaluate, qualify, and manage vendors and contractors. Procure equipment, parts, and maintenance-related materials. Partner closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and other departments to support business objectives. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maintenance, Industrial Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience . Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment , including leadership or supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs. Experience troubleshooting equipment in a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with computer systems and maintenance software. Preferred Experience in food, beverage, dairy, ingredients, fermentation, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing environments. Experience with CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, or similar). Knowledge of fermentation, blending, spray drying, roller drying, agglomeration, packaging, or filtration processes. Experience managing maintenance budgets and capital projects. Journeyman certification or hands-on technical trade background. Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and regulatory compliance.
