Water Resources Design Engineer-EIT/PE
My client is seeking an experienced Water Resources Design Engineer with 5+ years of professional experience to join a growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer to work on diverse and challenging projects while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering designs, studies, calculations, and technical reports.
- Develop and review design details, specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
- Prepare construction contract documents and final design packages.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable technical standards and requirements.
- Participate in client presentations and public meetings.
- Support field inspections and project research.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior engineers and CADD users.
- Stay current with water resources design methods, standards, and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Virginia PE preferred.
- 5–10 years of professional engineering experience.
- Strong water resources engineering and design experience.
- Experience with construction documents, specifications, and engineering plans.
- VDOT experience preferred.
- Strong technical, communication, and teamwork skills.
