The NC3 Directorate’s mission is to provide support to the Program Executive Office (PEO), the Deputy Director, Deputy AFPEO NC3 and staff for acquisition and administrative control of all NC divisions, branches, and programs. This position’s primary role will be focal point/lead for the branch, acting in a Program Execution Group function responsible for senior level administrative review of all acquisition documentation and coordination for senior leaders. Responsibilities Provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. Ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter. Apply technical and/or professional expertise to support senior leaders in acquisition program management. Communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.). Plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production, deployment and sustainment of weapons systems and associated equipment, formulating plans and recommending effective strategies to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives. Support and develop acquisition and sustainment reports, including statutory and regulatory reports (e.g., Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES), Monthly Activity Report (MAR)). Support program management reviews, senior-level meetings/reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews. Support and develop briefings/schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to senior management. Understand funding types, budgets, and the Central Asset Management (CAM) process. Perform other duties as assigned. Duties Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework, AFI 63-101/20-101, including knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition, sustainment, or modification programs. Support activities that assist the program manager in assessing programs within schedule and cost baselines, recommend viable solutions to issues, and pursue alternative courses of action. Qualifications Program Manager experience, with at least 10 years in a DoD environment. (Air Force preferred) Active Secret Security Clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen. The expected annual salary range: $170k - $195k. Salary is dependent upon the role, associated responsibilities, candidate experience and qualifications, including education/training and key skills.
