Press Break Operator Location: Greer, Greer, SC, US Employment Type: Full Time Salary Range: $10.00 To $100.00 Annually

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of hydraulic CNC controlled press brakes. This position may be required to perform other operations on production machines as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct all set-up and quality operations in support of machining for self and others. Set-up and operate machines in accordance with travelers and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.). Create, edit and/or retrieve CNC programs from system files and execute. Manufacture product that meets quality requirements. Inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection. Meet time and schedule standards for assigned task. Keep equipment clean and maintain proper fluid levels. Return all fixtures and tooling upon job completion. Account for time and work completed via computer access E2 management system. Advise supervision of issues that arise. Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance. Identify set-up reduction opportunities and Lean process opportunities and communicate to proper 6s team lead. Assume other responsibilities as required. Meet the required delivery dates for all assigned jobs. Meet quality requirements of all assigned processes. Conduct all operations in a safe manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to read & understand blueprints and technical documents commensurate with machine operation. A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture. Organizational and time management skills. Self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize work day/projects independently. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong metal press forming and basic fabrication background. Strong knowledge and understanding of fabrication, hydraulic press and/or punch operations including basic set up. Ability to use various inspection gages. Basic computer knowledge. Firm understanding of Amada NT & NC9 programming. Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
