SummaryThe Manufacturing Equipment Engineer will optimize test procedures and test equipment in collaboration with Manufacturing, Innovation (R&D), and the Manufacturing Engineering team in Switzerland. The Manufacturing Equipment Engineer is part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team and reports to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering - Americas. This position bears full responsibility for all agreed upon goals and objectives.What You'll DoMonitor and improve production equipment including flow measurement/calibration, semi-automated assembly, and end-of-line testers, ensuring high accuracy and reliabilityCreate and implement updates to test procedures for automated testers and programming unitsDefine requirements for new testing and automation systems in collaboration with teams in SwitzerlandEnsure test programs and equipment are reliable, documented, and traceableSupport integration of new software into production systemsAssist in optimizing production tools and user-friendly softwareAssist maintenance team as 2nd level support for production equipment across global sitesProvide technical support to factory staff and maintenance teamsEnsure backup coverage during absencesContribute to improving First Pass Rate and reliability of products, work equipment and processesSupport root cause analysis and resolution of quality issues and casesBuild up and document knowledge of test sequences, software tests, and production toolsSupport cross-functional projects to develop or improve production equipmentCoordinate tasks with local and global teamsAssist in technical definition of new testing and automation systemsWho You AreBS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or similar technical degree3+ years work experience, preferably in automation and/or fluidics/thermodynamicsExperience with LabView, PLC Programming, and/or Beckhoff (Twin CAT Structured Text) in industrial applications, or other programming languagesKnowledge of robotics and automation systems (hardware/ software)Understanding of programming logic and IT networksExperience in a production or industrial environmentFluidics and/or automation experience highly preferredWillingness and ability to travel globally (approximately 10%)Very good English communication skillsGerman language skills are a plusWho We AreAt Belimo, we take pride in making our company a rewarding place to work. The base pay for this position ranges from $95,000 - $110,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 15% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
