Experienced Security Alarm Technician/Installer - Roselle, NJ

TEKsystems has an immediate position available for a Security/Fire Alarm technician to join one of our client's team in their Roselle, NJ Office. Thecompany is consistently nationally ranked in the top 30 in a widely recognized Industry publication, Security Distributing & Marketing Magazine (SDM). The publication ranks the top 100 Security Dealers in the Country on an annual basis.

We have a need for skilled technicians with experience. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill level. We offer a great working environment with long term experience staff in place.

Candidate duties will include installing, servicing and inspecting Security and Fire Systems. Technicians will service, maintain, install and test these systems working both independently, and as part of a team. Candidate will work primarily on commercial accounts and will also be part of our on-call rotation. Experience in Access Control, Video and Fire Alarm a plus.

Candidate must be able to perform the following tasks:

• Work with hand tools and power tools

• Candidates may be subject to drug test and check

• Company vehicle for transportation to and from jobsites or office will be provided as well as company cell phone.

Summary

Qualifications

• Experience in installing and servicing fire alarm systems

• Proficiency in using power tools for installation and maintenance tasks

• Knowledge of CCTV systems and security alarm technology

• Ability to read and interpret schematics for system installations

• Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems and cabling techniques

in security system design and troubleshooting

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainview, NY.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
