Cold Brew Assistant

Job Title: Cold Brew Production Assistant Status : Part-time, non-exempt Compensation : $15-17 per hour Twin Valley Coffee is a family-owned business and we are passionate about roasting and serving delicious coffee. Twin Valley Coffee is looking for a Production Team Member to work in the Cold Brew area of the Production Headquarters located in Elverson, PA. If you are an organized person who is able to pay attention to details and follow instructions, we’d love to hear from you! While we are happy to consider all sorts of applicants, please note that we are primarily looking for year round support in Production at this time. Responsibilities Clean, sanitize, and break down brewing tanks, hoses, kegs, and work surfaces. Adhere strictly to protocols and food safety guidelines. Follow all safety precautions, including wearing proper protective clothing and following standard operating procedures. Assist in producing cold brew and cold brew products according to the inventory needed at retail locations. Monitor brewing times and take basic measurements to guarantee product consistency Communicate well with supervisor and other team members to make sure all job functions are operating efficiently. Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all team members Maintain inventory by regularly checking on what is in stock and what needs to be replenished. Receive shipments and organize cold-storage areas. Follow proprietary guidelines for brewing and storing TVC’s specialty cold brew coffee. Work as a team with all areas of production to communicate needs, provide for cafes, and fill in coverage as necessary. Skills and Abilities Able to read and comprehend written instructions Strong time management skills and self-motivated to complete tasks Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand, and asking questions as needed Basic math skills and a methodical, detail-oriented approach to following recipes and data logs. Strong critical thinking skills to observe the process and make adjustments as necessary. Able to be flexible and adjust to the needs of others Confident problem solver Able to easily access a computer for recordkeeping, staying up to date with team notifications, and communicating with the rest of the organization Relate well with coworkers, customers, and others Physical Requirements Handle and move objects, including coffee beans, equipment, etc. Lift and carry up to 50lbs, potentially assist with lifting up to 100lbs, move 175lbs with a cart. Able to comprehend oral instruction or directions Finger and arm dexterity for manipulating equipment and other objects Able to see objects at close or far distances General physical activities such as standing for long periods of time, stooping, twisting, lifting, carrying, or walking Able to perform duties in a fast‑paced working environment with little supervision.
