Job Description:

Registered Nurse position in the Cardio Vascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) responsible for advanced critical care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This role requires expertise in managing complex cases including those involving cardiac surgery, dysrhythmias, and multi-system organ failure.

Responsibilities:

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Management of multi-system organ failure and thermoregulation
• Care for patients post-cardiac surgery and pre/post cardiac catheterization
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump and Impella management
• Monitoring of pulmonary artery lines and valve replacements/repairs
• IV therapy and medication management including continuous IV paralytics and emergency medications
• CVA/Acute Stroke Management and ventilator management
• Assist with BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula management
• Interpretation of ABGs, suctioning, and infection prevention

Requirements:

• 3 years of CV ICU experience
• Active IL license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Pass EKG test with a score of 80% or above
• Epic experience and proficiency in required CV ICU skills
• Submit updated resume, CV ICU skills checklist, and CV reference from a supervisor within the last year
