Maintenance Technician

Job Summary The Maintenance Technician Level 3 is a senior technical role responsible for the advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and systems. The technician will provide leadership within the maintenance team, ensuring high standards of performance and safety. Job Duties and Responsibilities Advanced Maintenance: Perform high-level maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on complex industrial equipment, including PLCs, CNC machines, robotic systems, and automated production lines. Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve intricate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Implement solutions for recurring or critical problems. Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Develop and manage comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Analyze equipment data to predict and prevent failures, using tools such as vibration analysis and thermography. Project Management: Lead maintenance projects, including equipment upgrades, installations, and system overhauls. Coordinate with engineering, production, and other departments to ensure project success. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety. Recommend modifications and upgrades to existing systems and procedures. Training and Leadership: Mentor and train Level 1 and Level 2 technicians. Provide guidance and support to ensure adherence to best practices and continuous improvement. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications. Prepare reports on equipment performance, maintenance metrics, and project status for management review. Compliance and Safety: Safet is a condition of employment. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to mitigate hazards. Emergency Response: Lead response to major equipment breakdowns and critical maintenance issues. Develop and implement contingency plans to minimize production downtime. Required Skills/Abilities Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Advanced proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and control systems. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance with a proven track record of handling complex machinery and systems. Experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly desirable. Must have a valid State issued driver’s license to operate a forklift. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or higher in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT), HVAC, Electrical) are a plus Physical Job Requirements Environment: Industrial setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures, and confined spaces. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Working at heights. Operate forklift and aerial lift.
