This position will assist the department with administration of Doyon’s benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability and retirement programs. Responsibility will include assisting employees with benefits enrollment and questions, verifying insurance billing and maintenance of the benefits administration system. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits. Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system Maintain employee online benefits administration system and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit questions Administer COBRA Approve employee changes in HRIS and perform data entry into benefits administration system. Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required employee notices Track eligibility for 401(k) plan and distribute enrollment materials Prepare and maintain employee reports including new hires, terminations and employee changes. Maintain files in benefits administration system Assist in benefits reporting requirements Maintain benefit summaries, plan documents materials, booklets, and other media for communicating benefits Download, prepare and reconcile benefit program billings and reports Coordinate meetings, conferences, logistics, special events Compose and prepare routine correspondence Create and maintain benefit files and records Other duties as assigned DOYON LIMITED CORE COMPETENCIES: Commitment to Excellence – Identifies what needs to be done and takes action to achieve a standard of excellence beyond job expectations. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of training and experience 2 years experience in administration and/or customer service. Demonstrated proficiency with the full MS Office Suite Ability to multi-task PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1 year experience working in Human Resources or with benefit programs Associate's degree in a related area or office assistant certification Administrative experience in an office setting (preferred) WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing less than forty pounds.
