Job Details

Job Details / Responsibilities:

Lead design discussions and carry design concepts through to project drawings
Design plumbing systems for construction drawings including plumbing floor plans, riser diagrams, details, schedules, and sections
Perform plumbing-related calculations and select plumbing equipment
Coordinate with other engineering and architectural trades during design
Develop construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit
Participate in developing project details, equipment schedules, and specifications
Contribute to sustainable design discussions and implement sustainable strategies as appropriate
Administer construction administration for plumbing scope items including conformance to contract documents and problem-solving in the field
Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and work through issues with contractors
Respond to project questions and concerns in a timely and thorough manner
Research and assess applicable project codes, regulations, and conduct other engineering research as necessary

Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing Design Certification
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Minimum of 5 years of experience working for a consulting engineering firm
Well versed in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
