Structural Welder - Per Diem Offered

Trillium Construction is seeking experienced Structural Welders to fabricate and weld steel Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) housing cabinets in the Houston, TX area!

Welders will be working primarily with 3/8-inch steel and will be responsible for structural welding and fabrication work, including:

• Welding BESS storage housing cabinets.
• Welding and installing structural bases that allow cabinets to be moved with a forklift or pallet jack.
• Welding lifting eyes and other structural components used for hoisting.
• Performing quality structural MIG welds according to project requirements.
• Reading and working from basic drawings, layouts, measurements, or fabrication instructions as required.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Work is Monday-Friday, working 10-12 hours days. Pay is up to $42 an hour depending on experience. Per diem is $160 all 7 days if all scheduled shifts are worked. Work is scheduled for 8 weeks.

Required Experience Must have:

• Proven experience as a structural welder.
• Strong MIG welding experience.
• Experience welding 3/8-inch steel or comparable heavy structural material.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication and assembly.
• Ability to produce clean, strong, consistent structural welds.
• Ability to work extended shifts and maintain productivity throughout a 10–12 hour workday.
• Must be willing to complete a basic on-site weld test.
• Must provide and properly use required personal welding PPE and hand tools.
• Must be willing to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
