Job Description:Job DescriptionPosition Summary:The Quality Supervisor assists in leading the Quality department by planning, developing and coordinating the quality programs and processes to insure continuous production of products are consistent with established quality and customer standards.Primary Responsibilities:Establishes quality objectives to continuously improve the process that assures product qualitySupports all key metrics regarding quality and assists in maintaining reporting systemsEnsures all customer concerns are reacted to immediately, resolved and the manufacturing facility is aware of all concernsEnsures the execution of corrective actions and the ongoing compliance with customers’ specificationsEnsures changes to the systems, specifications and standards are implemented as per policy and procedureEnsures verification/calibration of all measuring and testing equipment is performed as requiredDirect and allocate overtime hours as schedules require supporting all production activitiesPerforms/assists in associate performance reviews and discussionsSupports continuous improvement projectsParticipates in, and provides training as requiredEnsures Housekeeping and Health & Safety Standards are maintainedComplies with policies and procedures pertaining to facility or divisional adopted standards such as IATFUtilizes the concepts of continuous improvement including LeanMay, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this descriptionEducation and Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredFour year College or University Degree or equivalentPrior leadership experience preferably in the automotive industryAbility to solve complex problems and exercise judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of informationProven leadership, interpersonal skills and personal development skillsExperience in a variety of basic operation disciplines: Manufacturing, Quality, Process / Tooling and Shop Floor SupervisionProficient in Microsoft OfficeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWillingness and ability to travel, as necessaryWork Environment/Work Conditions:Professional Office EnvironmentMust wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floorTravel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when requiredEquipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injuryPosition Type:RegularAdditional Locations:Additional Information:Cooper Standard is proud of its diverse workforce and committed to providing equal employment opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, genetic information, physical or mental disability, age, veteran or military status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
