The Warehouse Manager owns this facility end to end: receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and outbound logistics of raw materials and finished ingredients supplied to contract manufacturers and brand licensees.This is a hands-on leadership role in a regulated environment. The materials moving through this building become dietary supplements, so every pallet must be received, quarantined, released, stored, and shipped under current Good Manufacturing Practices (21 CFR Part 111) with complete lot traceability. The successful candidate combines disciplined warehouse execution with the documentation rigor that survives an FDA inspection or a customer quality audit — and is prepared to build the systems, SOPs, and team from the ground up as a new division stands up.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESWarehouse Operations & Material FlowDirect all daily warehouse activity — receiving, put-away, storage, staging, picking, packing, and shipping — across raw materials, work-in-process, and finished ingredient inventory.Design and maintain the facility layout, slotting strategy, and material flow to maximize throughput, space utilization, and segregation requirements.Establish and enforce first-expired-first-out (FEFO) and first-in-first-out (FIFO) rotation for all lots.Plan daily and weekly labor and equipment coverage against the inbound and outbound schedule; escalate capacity constraints before they affect customer commitments.Maintain material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scales, drum handling) on a documented preventive maintenance schedule, including calibration of scales used for quantity verification.Inventory Control & AccuracyOwn inventory accuracy for the division; maintain a perpetual inventory by item, lot, and location with a minimum of 99.5% record accuracy.Build and run a cycle-count program with defined count frequency by value class; research and document root cause for every variance before adjustment.Lead physical inventories and reconcile results with Finance; provide supporting documentation for month-end and year-end close and for external audit.Monitor slow-moving, short-dated, and obsolete inventory; report exposure monthly with recommended disposition.Control the movement of customer-owned and consigned material, keeping it physically and systemically segregated from Veridian-owned inventory.cGMP, Quality & Regulatory ComplianceOperate the warehouse in full compliance with 21 CFR Part 111 (cGMP for Dietary Supplements) and applicable FSMA preventive-control and sanitary transportation requirements.Control the quarantine, hold, release, and reject status of every lot; ensure no material is used or shipped until QA release is documented in the system.Maintain complete lot traceability — one step back to the supplier and one step forward to the customer — capable of supporting a mock or actual recall within four hours.Verify that incoming shipments match the purchase order, packing list, and certificate of analysis; document container condition, seal integrity, identity, count, and weight at receipt.Maintain storage conditions appropriate to each material, including temperature- and humidity-controlled areas, with continuous monitoring, alarming, and documented excursion investigation.Own warehouse sanitation, pest control, and allergen segregation programs, including vendor management and documentation.Write, revise, and train the team on warehouse SOPs; ensure training records are current for every employee and every procedure.Serve as the warehouse host and subject-matter expert for FDA inspections, third-party GMP/NSF certification audits, and customer quality audits; own and close warehouse-related CAPAs on schedule.Manage nonconforming material, returns, and destruction with documented authorization and disposition records.Shipping, Logistics & Customer FulfillmentEnsure orders ship accurately, completely, and on the committed date, with correct labeling, lot documentation, COAs, and required shipping paperwork.Manage carrier relationships and freight execution across LTL, FTL, parcel, and international shipments; negotiate rates and hold carriers to service and cost commitments.Prepare and verify export documentation and country-specific requirements for international customer shipments.Coordinate closely with Sales, Quality, and customer supply-chain contacts on delivery schedules, expedites, and exceptions; communicate risk to commitments early.Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damage claims, and customer complaints related to warehouse execution.Safety & FacilityOwn the warehouse safety program in compliance with OSHA requirements, including powered industrial truck certification, lockout/tagout, hazard communication, and personal protective equipment.Conduct documented safety training, inspections, and incident investigations; drive corrective action to closure.Maintain safety data sheets and correct handling, labeling, and storage for all hazardous or regulated materials on site.Manage facility security, access control, and the physical protection of high-value proprietary ingredient inventory.Team Leadership & DevelopmentRecruit, hire, train, schedule, and develop the warehouse team; set clear performance expectations and hold the team accountable to them.Conduct performance reviews, coach to standard, and address performance issues promptly and in partnership with Human Resources.Build cross-training depth so that no single function depends on one individual.Manage the warehouse operating budget, including labor, supplies, freight, and equipment; CAPAs closed on timeSafety - Zero lost-time incidents; 100% on-time completion of required trainingREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and directly applicable experience.Minimum five years of warehouse or distribution experience, including at least three years directly supervising a team.Demonstrated experience in an FDA-regulated environment: dietary supplements, food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or cosmetic manufacturing or distribution.Working knowledge of cGMP requirements under 21 CFR Part 111, including quarantine and release control, lot traceability, and documentation practices.Proven ownership of inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and physical inventory in a lot
