Desired Qualifications:

• Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Current state practitioner license as required.
• Proven pediatric experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in ventilator management, airway care, and advanced respiratory interventions.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and education skills in supporting patient and family needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medicated and non-medicated aerosol therapies, including small volume neb, mesh/nebulizers, and Pentamidine.
• Manage airway clearance using techniques such as chest physiotherapy, directed cough, IPV, and cough assist devices.
• Provide routine and critical airway management including tracheostomy care, assisted and mechanical ventilation, CPAP/BiPAP, initiation of NAVA, and ventilator system checks.
• Support high-risk deliveries with surfactant administration and neonatal protocols.
• Perform blood gas sampling, interpretation, and assist with respiratory transport (including internal, MRI, and Nitric Oxide transport).
• Educate patients and families on therapies, equipment use, and best practices for ongoing care.
