Start a career that saves lives at a company that values yours!CMA - Certified Medical AssistantFull Time, 1st ShiftHave the opportunity to work either 5, 8-hour shifts (6am-2:30pm) or 4, 10-hour shifts (5:30am-4pm) - You Pick!Full Time, 2nd ShiftHave the opportunity to work either 5, 8-hour shifts (2:30pm-11pm) or 4, 10-hour shift (1pm-11pm) - You Pick!Schedules includes working every other weekend and holiday, with a repeating 2-week scheduleDuties and Responsibilities:Deliver patient care to patients on the unit.Keep the nurse informed of patient needs and conditionsMake scheduled rounds on the unit assuring the whereabouts and status of the patients.Ensure patient care equipment is in clean, working condition and in the appropriate places and keeping patient care areas clear of obstructions and in an organized manner.Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed by the nurse.Work a flexible schedule based upon service demandsMaintain quality control logs following OSHA and HIPAA regulations.Patient scheduling of appointments to include transportation requests.Obtain and document in chart patient's height/weight and vital signs.Perform EKG'sCollect and process lab specimens including UDS, UA, Chem Sticks, etc. following proper infection control procedures.Assist with clerical duties as needed.Transport patient to appointments, as needed.Perform chart audits/reviews as assigned.This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions and does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.Physical Requirements:Lifting: up to 50 pounds on occasion.Standing: up to several hours at a time, which may include walking, climbing steps, and descending.Walking: must be able to ambulate throughout the assigned facilities on campus or Caron properties.Sitting: up to several hours at a time for data entry into the computer or medical record documentation.Driving: Must be able to drive a 15-passenger van or car to and from various activitiesEducation / Experience Qualifications:Current certification as a C.M.A.Previous experience working as C.M.A. in hospital or long-term care facilityCurrent CPR/First Aid training/certification.Two years continuous sobriety preferred if in recovery.Previous experience in a hospital/chemical dependency rehabilitation treatment program preferred.21 years of age or older is requiredRequires a current, valid, unrestricted driver's license#IND101Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
