Junior Underwriter

Position Overview The Junior Underwriter will review business funding applications, analyze supporting documentation, and assist the underwriting team in evaluating risk and determining funding eligibility. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Review incoming funding applications for completeness. Analyze bank statements and financial documents. Verify applicant information and supporting documentation. Identify potential risks and elevate files when appropriate. Maintain accurate records in the CRM and underwriting systems. Communicate with internal sales and operations teams regarding file status. Follow company underwriting guidelines and compliance standards. Assist senior underwriters with daily workflow and special projects. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous underwriting, financial, banking, lending, or administrative experience preferred. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable reviewing financial documents and bank statements. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in merchant cash advance (MCA), business funding, or commercial lending is a plus. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred but not required.
