Full-Time Hospitalist

Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatal Hospitalist to join its integrated neonatology program in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a community-based setting with the support and resources of a large, physician-led multispecialty organization. The position focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered neonatal care across two clinical sites. Practice Info Integrated neonatology program with a multidisciplinary team including neonatologists, neonatal hospitalists, and advanced practice clinicians. Physicians provide care across two clinical sites: California Pacific Medical Center (San Francisco, CA) and Mills-Peninsula Medical Center (Burlingame, CA). California Pacific Medical Center is a regional referral center with a 35-bed Level III NICU and access to advanced subspecialty services. Mills-Peninsula Medical Center is a community hospital with approximately 1,500 annual deliveries, supported by dedicated neonatal hospitalists providing 24/7 coverage. Mills-Peninsula Medical Center includes a 6-bed Level II Special Care Nursery with advanced monitoring capabilities. Collaborative model with neonatal hospitalists working closely with neonatologists, obstetricians, and labor and delivery teams across both sites. Responsibilities Provide neonatal inpatient care, including attendance at high-risk deliveries. Provide night coverage supported by an in-house neonatal hospitalist team. Manage an active well-baby service. Participate in neonatal transport and high-risk perinatal coordination. Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists through programs such as Small Baby Unit, neurocritical care, and neonatal surgery. Provide in-house neonatal care with coverage of newborn and special care nursery services. Manage infants with respiratory distress, jaundice, feeding challenges, and premature infants (≥34 weeks gestation). Coordinate with neonatology, transport teams, and pediatric subspecialists.
