Low Voltage Installation Tech

Position Summary The Low Voltage Installation Technician at Connesso will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic components in residential and commercial projects. This role requires a strong understanding of low voltage systems, including wiring diagrams, signal flow, and computer networking. The technician will collaborate with customers, project managers, and other team members to ensure the successful completion of each project. Key Responsibilities Installation: Install electronic components such as home networks and audio/video equipment according to project specifications and industry standards. Read and interpret proposals, wiring diagrams, and detailed scopes of work to understand project requirements. Communication: Clearly and simply communicate the functionality of installed equipment to end users. Work effectively with general contractors and construction teams. Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area. Document project progress, including detailed notes, photographs, and communications with office staff and customers. Collaboration & Mentoring: Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians. Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Qualifications and Skills Technical Skills: Strong understanding of low voltage systems, including signal flow and computer networking. Experience with automation is preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams. Proficiency with power tools and hand tools. Leadership & Teamwork: Experience running a small team is preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Other Requirements: Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications: Low voltage wiring experience. General construction knowledge.
