Job Full Opportunity Brief Title: Product Counsel, Payments Category: Jobs Organiser: Whatnot Description: Whatnot is seeking a Senior Product Counsel to lead legal support for its payments and financial services initiatives. The successful candidate will advise on the design and operation of innovative payment systems, manage relationships with financial partners, and navigate complex regulatory frameworks including money transmission, AML/BSA, and consumer protection. This role involves drafting complex commercial agreements and supporting the expansion of payment products into new jurisdictions. Eligibility: Applicants must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and an active membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (CA or NY preferred). A minimum of 9 years of combined experience in a top law firm or in-house legal department is required, including at least 3 years specifically advising on payments, fintech, or financial services matters.
