JOB SUMMARY:

Join our Freeport team as a Sales Support Specialist , supporting outside sales with proposals, technical reporting, and project scope development. This role offers hands-on exposure to full-cycle sales and is a stepping stone to outside sales for ambitious candidates with strong technical and communication skills.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this position, you will get to:

• Facilitate the RFQ and order entry process in conjunction with outside sales.
• Coordinate with sales to manage CRM and ensure accurate tracking of projects as they develop.
• Assist outside sales in developing comprehensive proposals to secure turn-key projects.
• Attend joint sales calls and provide assistance in defining and assessing the scope of work.
• Help develop a winning strategy for estimates.
• Interface with internal departments to gather required information to support the defined strategy.
• Participate and perform a key role in kick-off meetings with the project execution team to ensure seamless transition of the proposed scope of work.
• Communicate with clients as needed to gather outstanding information on projects during the pre-bid, RFQ, and execution process.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and construction during projects on behalf of the Sales team.

You have:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (i.e. engineering, industrial distribution, construction) or business, preferred
• Previous experience with industrial sales is preferred
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal), ability to work independently and in a team environment, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to travel to worksites up to 25-30% (daily travel, not overnight)
