.Net Developer

Job Title: .Net DeveloperApex Systems has a need for a.Net Developer for a client in Knoxville, TN. This position is a 6 month contract to hire and has WFH/Remote flexibility up to 3 days a week and expectation to be onsite to collaborate at least twice a week.Location: Knoxville, TNWFH/Remote capabilities: Yes- WFH 3 days a week with an onsite expectation 2 days a week.Duration: 6 month contract to hireDay to Day Responsibilities:Create and develop new application software as well as develop features and functionality for existing software with limited guidance from management or senior team membersProvide support for existing software applications, including moderate troubleshooting and bug fixesAdd features, fixes, and enhancements to new and existing applications, processes, and reports; recommend technology to use; assist in determining solution for development of new features and enhancementsIndependently troubleshoot and analyze basic issues with applications, processes, data, and reports; help determine appropriate action to follow to resolve these issuesTest application code, features, functionality, and fixes; assist quality assurance (QA) as neededCollaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and users to support basic day-to-day business functionsCollaborate with business users to clarify requirements for moderately complex new or existing featuresAssist in training support staff and other team members on the proper use and troubleshooting of software applicationsCreate new documentation and update existing documentation for IT systems and process; follow the recommended format, process, and diagrams to be used in the creation of materialsAssist junior team members through mentoring, collaboration, and code reviewsModel behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities comply with rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresComplete other duties as assignedSkills and Technical Expectations:Minimum three years’ experience in application developmentBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required; Master's degree is a plus, preferably in computer science or MISC#.Net development experience requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows development environment requiredAdvanced knowledge of REST API development requiredSkilled in T/SQL and basic database skills required. The ability to write and understand moderately complex queries preferredExperience using a variety of languages and platforms such as HTML, Java, Python, ASP, VB.Net, .Net Core, Powershell, and MVC is preferredKnowledge and prior experience with cloud computing, especially AWS, is preferredExperience working in a team environment requiredExperience with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence preferredPrior experience with Git and Visual Studio is preferredKnowledge of Mulesoft or Infor Process Designer is a plusUnderstand and adhere to software development standards, guidelines, and protocolsAbility to write and understand moderately complex programming queriesAbility to understand moderately complex business and technical solutionsAbility to juggle multiple on-going projects and handle changing prioritiesAbility to self-motivate and meet tight deadlinesAbility to work in a team environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills
