Business Analyst

Business AnalystLocation: Albany, NY 12210 Duration: 2- 3 years ContractPosition Requirements:60 months' experience eliciting business requirements from business customers or system artifacts and maintaining such requirements.60 months' experience developing high-level business requirements and process documentation.60 months experience creating detailed functional requirements, use cases, process flows, screen mock-ups, and data dictionaries.60 months' experience creating test plans and test cases, executing functional and system tests including regression tests. Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping system requirements to test cases.60 months experience identifying and documenting application defects, tracking defects to resolution, and performing retesting as required.Responsibilities:Analyze system documentation and system artifacts to develop an understanding of the associated business process.Elicit business system requirements using one or more of the following methods: analyze current processes, interview users, conduct group meetings, review/analyze existing documentation or system artifacts.Document and analyze 'as is' and 'to be' business processes.Develop or maintain high-level and detailed system requirements in the form of clear business requirements documents, context diagrams, process flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and use cases.Develop or maintain test plans and detailed test cases.Develop or maintain user acceptance testing plans and help desk support guides.Develop detailed functional and system tests from documented system requirements. Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping system requirements to test cases.Develop or contribute to the development of regression tests and/or user acceptance tests.Execute functional and system tests, including regression tests.
