Travel Contract Registered Nurse – ICU (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting with a 1:2 patient ratio across a 14-bed unit
• Manage and monitor patients on vasoactive drips and complex hemodynamic support
• Assist with and support advanced procedures including ECMO, CRRT, chest tube insertions, and central line insertions
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Meditech electronic health records system
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
• Work three shifts per week including every other weekend on a rotating schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Demonstrated comfort with vasoactive drips and strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ECMO (VV ECMO preferred)
• Experience with CRRT, specifically NxtStage equipment
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• Background caring for COVID-positive ICU patients
