Duties

Performs magnetic resonance imaging of head and body including, but not limited to: brain, face, larynx, nasopharynx, neck, orbits, paranasal sinus, parotid glands, tongue and oropharynx, TMJ, chest, cardiac, cervical spine, thoracic spine, lumbo-sacral spine, brachial plexus, abdomen, (adrenal, kidney, liver, pancreas), pelvis (bladder, prostate, scrotum), shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, hip, knee, and foot/ankle.

Tours of duty may change depending on needs of the Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Service or medical center.

The employee may be called upon to perform other duties as required by the supervisor including routine performance of plain film radiographs and fluoroscopy (departmental, portable, OR).

Assumes lead and responsibility for maintaining a safe environment in the MRI area for all employees, patients, and visitors.

Interview patients about their medical history.

Ensure that the patient screening process has been performed so that contraindicated materials and medical devices are kept outside the area of the magnet.

Screens patients prior to the exam to determine if there are any contraindications to the procedure or to the patient being exposed to a magnetic field (such as metallic foreign bodies, contraindicated medical devices, etc).

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases
