IT Network Administrator

Objective A Network Administrator optimizes, secures, and maintains the organization’s IT infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, servers, and firewalls. Key responsibilities include installing hardware/software, troubleshooting connectivity issues, monitoring network performance, training users, and conducting data backups to ensure maximum uptime and security. Responsibilities Assist with the administration and maintenance of corporate infrastructure, including network connectivity, Internet access, email, and related services. Assist with the administration and maintenance of the telephone system, including telephone switches and employee cell phones. Create new hire telephone and voicemail extensions, route extensions to appropriate locations, and update information as seating assignments change. Support corporate applications, internal servers, and user desktops. Provide basic troubleshooting, backup, archiving, and help install and improve computer software and network equipment. Create network and email accounts for new users, set up computers, and ensure delivery of equipment. Update company phone lists and email address books. Answer trouble calls/emails and enter work orders into tracking software. Administer and maintain local and web‑based versions of tracking software. Interact with internal clients to resolve basic help‑desk issues, communicate professionally and confidentially, and respond in a timely manner. Assist with inventory management of software licenses, hardware, and other IT supplies. Assist with purchase of software, hardware, and supplies, and promote responsible usage and care of corporate equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds and sustain prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Perform other duties as assigned. This is a temp to hire position.
