Key Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff
• Document treatment information and patient responses in the computerized medical record
• Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients
• Provide age-appropriate care across all patient populations served by the department
• Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
• Perform as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
• Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association) required within 3 months of hire
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required within 12 months of hire

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Two (2) or more years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting
• Strong clinical decision-making skills related to pulmonary and cardiac systems across patient age groups
• Ability to interpret patient information to identify and respond to clinical needs
• Proficiency in computer skills relevant to patient documentation and record management
