Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a day shift hospital position requiring at least 1 year of experience and recent Epic charting experience.

Details

• 13-week assignment in the Respiratory Therapy unit
• Day shift, 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekend and holiday work required, including Thanksgiving or the day after and Christmas Eve or Christmas Day
• No on-call requirements
• Floating expected unless otherwise stated
• Adult and pediatric critical care patient population
• Epic EMR experience required
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active RRT certification required; CRT not accepted
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• TN state license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Epic charting experience within the last 18 months required, with details documented on profile
• Must pass Epic competency exam upon hire
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Proficient in airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and suctioning
• Experience with arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation
• Experience with various medication delivery systems and nebulizer therapies
• Candidates requiring respirator fit testing must be clean-shaven

Additional Information

• Perform basic respiratory treatments including aerosolized medication administration, EZPAP, IPPB, MDI, CPT, incentive spirometry, oxygen therapy, and CPAP/BiPAP therapy
• Perform arteriocentesis as part of clinical duties
• Work as part of a respiratory care team supporting adult and pediatric patients
• No block scheduling or special schedule accommodations available
• All requested time off must be disclosed prior to consideration; additional time off cannot be accommodated afterward
