Responsibilities Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics‑based analytical methods (hand calculations, in‑house tools, and 3rd‑party commercial analytical tools) Acceleration, shock, and vibration analysis Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals Support configuration development and trade studies of separation mechanisms Minimum Qualifications Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering 3+ years of experience in structural analysis of space/aerospace vehicles/structures/mechanisms Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics‑based analytical methods (hand calculations, in‑house tools, and 3rd‑party commercial analytical tools) Preferred Qualifications Spacecraft mechanisms/systems analysis Hyperworks, NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus, and MATLAB proficiency LS-Dyna Fatigue and fracture analysis Base Pay Range for: CA applicants: $99,201.00 - $138,880.35 CO applicants: $90,934.00 - $127,307.25 WA applicants: $99,201.00 - $138,880.35 Other site ranges may differ.
