Legal Assistant

Konare Law Immigration Legal Assistant Responsibilities Organize and maintain immigration case files, calendars, and litigation deadlines. Communicate with clients and keep them updated on immigration case progress and removal defense proceedings. Assist with immigration case preparation, litigation support, and trial materials. Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals working on immigration and removal defense cases. Process incoming immigration filings, court documents, and agency correspondence and manage records. Maintain confidentiality and ensure accurate, efficient workflows in a legal and immigration litigation setting. Skills Excellent verbal and written communication. Active listening. Critical thinking. Complex problem solving. Qualifications Candidate should be motivated self-starters who are able to work independently and communicate effectively with clients and the legal team. Candidate must have a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal or immigration litigation environment. Candidate should possess a demonstrated history of excellence in their career, as well as a passion for serving clients, particularly immigrant communities. Candidate must have excellent customer service skills. Candidate should have the willingness to cross-train for other job functions within the immigration legal practice. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree with one-year minimum experience in the legal field or associate degree with two years minimum experience in the legal field or HS Diploma with three years minimum experience in the legal field.
