Procurement SpecialistThe primary purpose of this role is to research, identify and execute purchasing activities within procurement for indirect goods and services. Under general supervision, develops and implements cost-effective and efficient procedures to purchase assigned commodities in accordance with product and services specifications. In accordance with requirements, and company policies and procedures.Job ResponsibilitiesSupport information-based decision-making activities including goal setting, performance management and analyticsPerform P2P purchasing activitiesProvide data and recommendations to ensure informed selection decisions and develop and administer agreements and statements of work in collaboration with business and legal departmentConduct data gathering, spend analytics, and market research in order to develop business cases using TCO and NPV concepts to assist the business in delivering measurable cost savingsIdentify and deploy process improvementsEffectively manage conflicts and transformations at all levels by developing and leveraging trusted business relationshipsDevelop and manage key peer relationships to support knowledge sharing and work optimizationAssist with maintenance of contracts database and special terms documentsDevelop and manage vendor relationships including commercial negotiations, managing on time deliveries and assisting in Quarterly Business Reviews and other assessments. Interface other areas/units within the company and/or with customers, discussing commercial and technical conditions involvedAssist in special projects, including large RFPs, process improvement projects and cross-departmental initiativesReview market trends and benchmarking in order to identify opportunities resulting from new product offerings and/or market shifts (e.g. entry or exit of suppliers, changes in pricing)Enforce Procurement Policy and Guidelines across the U.S.Assist in training new employees on general procurement processesEssential Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEducation:Degree in Finance, Operations/Supply Management or relatedExperience:2-4 years of experience in Procurement3+ years' experience in preparation of RFQ/RFPs, negotiation, follow-up and control of commercial proposals.SAPExperience in the Aerospace industry a plusKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Commercial proposals and follow-up techniquesManage and measure workStrong time management, prioritization and organizational skillsKnowledge of Procurement methodologyMS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) Strong communication skills and interpersonal skillsProfessionalism and detailed orientedExperience in SAP & Quantum desirableAdvanced experience in spreadsheetExperience with MS Project or similar technologyLanguage proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish desirableLearn on the Fly, global perspective of business environment and technologyAbility to work individually or in team settingsWorking Conditions / Environment/ Special RequirementsAbility to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulationsGeneral Commitment for All Employees:Commitment to company values and complies with department norms, policies, directives, and proceduresIncorporates Lean and P3E processes and concepts into daily activitiesStrive for continuous improvement to processes and proceduresHonors and protects confidential and proprietary documents and informationSatisfies work schedule requirementsThe job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required by the employee.
