Registered Nurse - Neuro Med Surg

Location: Johnstown, PA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Weekend Hours: 2 of 4 weekends per schedule, or 4 of the 8 weekend shift days. Options for straight weekends available if preferred.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Neuro Med Surg unit. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients, specializing in neurological conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient care for individuals with neurological conditions.
• Perform assessments and develop care plans regarding patient needs.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and health management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Neuro Med Surg.
• NIH and Swallow Screen certifications preferred.
• Competency in dysrhythmia management.
