Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Commercial Apprentice Electrician to join our dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair within commercial construction environments. This paid apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop essential skills under the guidance of experienced electricians, working on diverse projects that range from low voltage systems to high voltage power setups. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for electrical work, a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow their technical expertise in a fast-paced construction setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior electricians with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on commercial construction sites.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to perform wiring, conduit installation, and equipment setup.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support electrical installations.
• Conduct basic testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper functionality.
• Support the setup of low voltage systems including communication and security wiring, adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously when working with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems on construction sites.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation.

Experience

• Prior experience with industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required; a strong interest in electrical systems is essential.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
• Exposure to construction site environments with an understanding of safety practices and protocols.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems.
• Knowledge of low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and NEC standards is advantageous.
